Ms. Lewis is known as an accomplished healthcare administrator who has led significant changes in the strategic direction of NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health. From improving the patient experience to increasing access to timely care, Ms. Lewis has provided direction and coordination for a wide range of initiatives to drive the organizational success of NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health. . Michelle Lewis has more than 20 years of experience in coaching people, building teams, managing projects, and growing healthcare programs. Prior to joining NYC Health + Hospitals, Ms. Lewis worked at New York Presbyterian Health Systems, where she held a variety of positions, including overseeing the emergency services department and community-based ambulatory care health center. Her strong interest in providing high-quality health care services and supporting the overall well-being of underserved communities has informed her accomplishments in her career as a public health executive. It is reflected. Over 18 months, Ms. Lewis worked with partners in New York City to quickly build three state-of-the-art outpatient treatment centers to serve communities in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. . These new clinics will provide much-needed primary and specialty care to people living with chronic illnesses in our communities. Mr. Lewis received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lehman College in New York and a Master of Public Administration degree from Farley Dickinson College in New Jersey. She currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Master of Public Administration and Master of Public Health degrees at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
