VALDOSTA – Utah Tech University celebrated students from Valdosta and others at its 113th Commencement Ceremony.

Utah Tech celebrated its 2024 graduating class of 2,967 students across 113 colleges.th The entrance ceremony will be held on Friday.
At the first ceremony, held on the morning of May 3 at Utah Tech’s Greater Zion Stadium, 31 percent of graduates earned associate degrees. During the evening ceremony, 37 percent of graduates earned bachelor’s degrees, 31 percent received certificates, and 1 percent earned master’s degrees.
“Utah Tech is excited to celebrate the Class of 2024,” said Interim President Courtney White. “We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of our graduates and look forward to seeing the impact they will have on the world as they use what they have learned here at Utah Tech to chart a new path for the future.” I can’t wait.”
Utah Tech University 113th The graduates were 39% male and 61% female, with the youngest being 16 years old and the oldest 68 years old. Nearly 3,000 graduates celebrated, with representatives from 41 U.S. states and 17 countries outside the United States in attendance.
The top five bachelor’s degrees awarded were nursing, exercise science, psychology, business administration, and communication studies.
Jared Smith, who earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing, has been named valedictorian of the class of 2024.
“I am grateful for the experiences and people who have impacted my life during my time at Utah Tech,” Smith said. “Utah Tech is a great place, but what really makes it unique are the people you meet here.”
