Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey has denied new allegations of inappropriate behavior by men appearing in a British TV documentary scheduled to be released next week.

In an interview titled “Kevin Spacey: Right of Reply,” which aired on Wootton’s YouTube channel late Friday, he said, “To tolerate baseless attacks without defending yourself is something I will never experience again. I can’t do that,” he said.
Last July, a London jury acquitted Spacey of sexual assault charges stemming from accusations by four men dating back 20 years. The court’s victory is the company’s second since ending a $40 million lawsuit brought by Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp in New York in 2022.
The documentary ‘Spacey Unmasked’ will air on Channel 4 in the UK on May 6th and 7th and will be available to stream in the US on Max.
The actor revealed in an interview that the documentary includes testimonies from men about events from 1976 to 2013.
Spacey, who won an Academy Award for his role in The Usual Suspects, said: “I take full responsibility for my past actions and actions, but I also take responsibility for those who have made up or exaggerated stories about me.” I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologize.” ” and “American Beauty.”
“I’ve never said, ‘If you give me sexual favors, I’ll help you with your career,'” he added.
Spacey, who was artistic director of London’s Old Vic Theater from 2004 to 2015, has once again admitted that he had “flirtations” with men in their 20s and that they sometimes made “awkward” passes. .
“I’ve obviously dated men who thought they might get promoted by having a relationship with me,” he said. “But there was no conversation with me. It was all part of their plan, and I wasn’t part of the deal, so it was a plan that was always doomed to fail.”
The actor also claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that he had “repeatedly requested” Channel 4 to give him more than seven days to address the allegations about him in the documentary.
Spacey said he believes the broadcaster’s “request for a response to new, anonymized, unspecific allegations within seven days is a ‘fair opportunity’ to refute the allegations against me.” He said he refused for that reason.
“Every time I was given time and proper forum to defend myself, the allegations failed under scrutiny and I was acquitted,” he added.
Spacey said he was struggling to return to work after being acquitted of all criminal charges, describing his experience as a “life sentence.”
His acting career has suffered since he was first publicly accused of inappropriate behavior in 2017 during the early days of the #MeToo movement. He then lost the lead role of Frank Underwood in the Netflix drama House of Cards.
