INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Ivy Tech Community College opened a new biopharmaceutical laboratory on Friday.
Ivy Tech officials said the BioPharma Science and Technology Lab will facilitate hands-on learning experiences for students. The institute is located at 2535 N. Capitol Ave. in the Illinois Fall Creek Center, north of downtown Indianapolis.
The new institute will launch or accelerate careers in biopharmaceutical manufacturing through customized education and training, officials said.
Ivy Tech Chancellor Stacey Atkinson said at Friday’s ribbon cutting. The state-of-the-art laboratory behind me is more than just a physical space. This is a beacon of opportunity for Ivy Tech students and future employees. This represents our unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality education and hands-on experience to help students grow in the dynamic field of pharmaceutical manufacturing. ”
