IndyCar and IU Health announced on May 1 that Dr. Angela Fiege has been appointed director of medical services for Indy NXT.

Feige is a veteran critical care and emergency medicine physician at IU Health and a longtime motorsports physician. She has held various roles in motorsports, including IndyCar’s Medical Team and NASCAR’s AMR Motorsports Doctors Team since 2010. She has also worked as a track doctor at Indianapolis Motor Speedway since 2007.
Mr. Fiege will continue in his role as Deputy Director of Medical Services for the NTT IndyCar Series and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, alongside Medical Director Dr. Julia Weiser.

Fiege is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, where he is also an assistant professor of clinical medicine.
