Several Lancaster County schools and theater programs affiliated with Lancaster County have been nominated for spring musicals at the 16th Annual Hershey Theater Apollo Awards.
This award recognizes outstanding achievements, both on and behind the scenes, by local high school students in musical and theatrical productions.
The Lancaster County high schools and community theater programs for home-schooled students nominated include Columbia Middle/High School. Ephrata, Elizabethtown and Donegal high schools. and Encore Home School Productions.
Public and private schools and theater programs serving home-schooled students in Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Lebanon, and Perry counties are invited to participate in the program, as well as select Lancaster County schools. It has been.
The Apollo Award winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Hershey Theater on Sunday, May 19th at 7:00 p.m. The awards are modeled after Broadway’s Tony Awards.
The evening will feature musical numbers from each school nominated in the Outstanding Musical category, as well as monologues and medleys from nominated lead actors and actresses.
