Taylor Swift left a strong impression on Emily Blunt and John Krasinski’s eldest daughter.
Blunt recently told Howard Stern about the “best thing” the “Fortnite” singer said to her daughter Hazel, 9.
“She’s the kindest person,” Swift said in an interview on “The Howard Stern Show” on Monday, giving a great example of being kind to children.
“My oldest had all her hair cut off. She felt very self-conscious about this very short haircut,” Brandt said. “And Taylor Swift was like, ‘God, look at you! You’re just like this ’60s beatnik cool kid. I just love your style.”
“I thought the child was going to pass out,” Brandt said.
The Oscar winner added, “This was the best thing I did for my child.”
“It’s really amazing that she did that,” Stern said.
The radio host joked that Blunt had to keep her kids “level” considering meeting people like Swift, but Blunt said that for her kids, “it’s totally It has become the norm,” he said.
“I think they’ve interacted with a lot of people in this job, and I think they’re often relieved when they meet the children of people who are in this job,” she said. “Because it’s like a secret language for understanding how weird it is for their mother to be known, right?”
But what her daughters find “weird” is that people approach their famous mother.
“They don’t like people coming up to me,” Brandt said. “People’s energy can be very intense, so they don’t like that.”
The “Oppenheimer” star recently revealed that she will be taking a year off from acting due to the “emotional cost” of spending less time with her children due to work. In addition to Hazel, Blunt also has another daughter, 7-year-old Violet, with Krasinski.
“I worked a lot last year, my oldest is 9, and this year I feel like I’m hitting single digits,” Brandt said on Bruce Bozzi’s Table for Two podcast last year. Told.
“I just feel like there’s a foundation for their day that’s so important when they’re little,” she continued. “And I was like, ‘Can you wake me up?’ Can you take me to school? Can you pick me up? Can you put me to bed?’ And I just for all of them, You have to be there for a long time, and I felt it in my bones.”
