Hasbro’s Mark Maher @markclonus blushes with a behind-the-scenes update on the production of United Cyberton Vector Prime. Check out the notes and images below to learn more about Takara Kunihiro’s concept design for this Cybetron throwback, part of the Jhiaxus type.
It is always a great honor to work with Yuya. Yuya is very talented and I am in awe of him. We would also like to thank Aaron Archer, Eric Siebenaller, and Mr. Kunihiro for the initial creation of these wonderful characters.
As my good friend Monzo Matt said, “He’s got old wires hanging down.” Partials are always very challenging, but I’m pretty happy with the results for this player. He has his key to his cyber planet and the Sword of Risling, which is cast in translucent blue-green metal and really sparkles in his hands. I made the gray tones darker than the original toy, as in the show, which is now spot on. Metallic teal, gold, and deep raspberry metallic make this color scheme ethereal.
They also shared images of many of the sculpt details, and the deco hits were created to match the anime series as closely as possible. You can see how he uses comic illustrations to develop his original vision for partial modeling.
Will legacy time portals finally come to an end? What do you say! ? Is there still time ⏳ until the final battle?Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
“I finally understood the true value of time, because it is the bond between us that gives time meaning.”
