Midfielder Joshua Kimmich is close to leaving Bayern Munich and could move to the Premier League this summer.
Kimmich is in the final season of his contract with Bayern Munich and is close to leaving the Bundesliga side. The 29-year-old has not negotiated a contract extension at Bayern and many of Europe’s top clubs are closely monitoring his situation.
Paris Saint-Germain are one of the clubs keen to sign Kimmich, with manager Fabrizio Romano revealing that a move to the Premier League is “a possibility”.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City have all been mentioned as potential suitors for the midfielder, with City manager Pep Guardiola having been instrumental in securing Kimmich’s signing during his time at Bayern Munich.
Kimmich joined from RB Leipzig for a fee of €7 million and has performed well under Guardiola in multiple roles, including right-back and centre-back.
Kimmich is currently part of Germany’s squad for Euro 2024 and talks about his future will not begin until the hosts’ participation in the tournament finishes, with Germany facing Spain in the quarter-finals tonight.
The midfielder has won eight Bundesliga titles, a Champions League title and been named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season five times during his illustrious career at the Allianz Arena.
