The Georgia Bulldogs have added the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles to their basketball schedule for the 2024-25 season, according to Rocco Miller of Bracketeer.org.
According to reports, the University of Georgia will host Tennessee Tech on Monday, November 4, at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia. The game, which is likely to be the season opener, will mark the third time the two schools have met in basketball.
Tennessee Tech is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference, Division I. The Golden Eagles finished the 2023-24 season with a 10-21 overall record and 5-13 in conference play.
Earlier on Friday, the Athens Banner-Herald reported that Georgia will host the Charleston Southern Buccaneers on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024 at Stegeman Coliseum.
It was announced last month that Georgia would host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the ACC/SEC Challenge at Stegeman Coliseum on Tuesday, Dec. 3. The Bulldogs also added a home game against the North Florida Ospreys on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Georgia is also scheduled to play the Marquette Golden Eagles at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas next season on Saturday, Nov. 23, which was announced in January. The Bulldogs will remain in the Bahamas for game two against the St. John’s Red Storm on Sunday, Nov. 24.
In other non-conference action, the Bulldogs will host South Carolina State on Dec. 29 and then travel to Atlanta to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on a date to be determined.
Last month, the SEC announced Georgia’s opponents for the 2024-25 season, with the Bulldogs set to host Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana State, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Vanderbilt at Stegeman Coliseum.
Away opponents from the SEC include Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M.
