Supporters of Donald Trump are slamming former President Joe Biden over a post by X accusing him of mistakenly thinking he had the best economy in the world. Biden responded to X by writing, “Trump thinks he had the best economy in the world. Ridiculous.”
“His economic policies have benefited the wealthy, slashing taxes on billionaires and corporations and increasing the deficit more than any other president has ever run,” he added.
Trump supporters took to the comments section to slam Biden, saying they had it easier financially under Trump, and many warned after his dismal debate performance that his presidency was “over,” no matter what he said or who he blamed.
“Please start packing your things.”
“The DEI official who wrote this probably hasn’t been to a grocery store in years,” one user wrote in the comments section. “Under Trump, unemployment was at record lows and the economy grew at historic rates. Tax cuts helped small businesses and middle-class families thrive. Meanwhile, Biden’s policies have accelerated inflation and hurt the economy. Facts over bullshit,” one user argued, while another wrote, “Trump’s economy was better than Biden’s. Fact check it, it’s true.” Another user wrote, “Start packing, Joe. It’s over,”
“You think the intern who wrote this doesn’t remember how good things were under President Trump,” one user wrote, while another wrote, “I’ll take Trump’s economy over yours any day.” “Under Trump, gas prices were affordable and helped American families and businesses thrive. Since Biden took office, gas prices have skyrocketed, hurting hardworking Americans’ wallets. We need to get back to energy independence and lower costs,” one user commented.
Biden has attacked Trump in various social media posts since the debate. In another recent post, he said the Supreme Court’s ruling against the former president “fundamentally altered” important principles. In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court was unable to decide whether Trump’s alleged attempts to interfere in the 2020 election fell into the category of “official acts.” Lower courts will now decide.
“This country was founded on the principle that in America there are no kings. We are all equal before the law. No one is above the law – not even the President of the United States. Today’s Supreme Court decision on Presidential Immunity fundamentally changes that,” Biden said in the post.
