Houston – As Hurricane Beryl approaches the Houston area, it poses an increasing threat, so anyone planning travel during the impact window is advised to plan ahead.
Dan Riley of the National Weather Service said the heaviest damage will occur on Monday and Tuesday, so it’s best to travel before then, and that some areas could get anywhere from 10 to 15 inches of rain depending on where the storm makes landfall.
What plans are Houston’s airport and airlines making for Beryl’s landfall in Texas?
Timelines and information may change as the storm moves into the Gulf of Mexico, so check back regularly for updates.
Houston Airport
Most importantly, passengers should check the status of their flight before leaving for the airport.
Sunday and Monday will be busy days for travel.
You will be notified of any cancellations or flight changes by your airline.

Areas drivers should avoid during heavy rain
When floodwaters begin to rise in Houston, crews typically begin closing off intersections and underpasses to keep drivers safe.
