Five designers will compete for two spots during Denver Fashion Week’s fall season.
Denver Fashion Week, one of the fastest growing fashion platforms in the United States, will host its Fall Designer Challenge on August 3rd at 8pm at the Alley at Daily Block in downtown Denver. Five designers who have never shown at Denver Fashion Week will go head-to-head in a competition where they will create five looks to showcase on an outdoor runway and the audience and a panel of judges will each select a winner. The winner will show their collection at Denver Fashion Week’s Fall season, which runs from November 9th to 17th.
As Colorado’s most prestigious fashion event, it attracts thousands of attendees each year and supports Denver’s growing and diverse fashion community. Launched in 2021, the Designer Challenge helps create opportunities for growing local designers.
“Denver Fashion Week believes in creativity, innovation and the power of fostering the growth of emerging designers who will shape the future of fashion,” said Nikki Strickler, Runway Producer for Denver Fashion Week. “The Designer Challenge not only showcases the incredible talent within our community, but also provides these designers the opportunity to make their mark on Denver’s fashion industry.”
The five designers participating in the Fall 2024 Designer Challenge are Grey Walls, Légère, Saintana Couture, Three Eyed Art Collective and Violet Hues. The fashion show will be hosted by 9News entertainment anchor Erica Lopez. The professional judging panel is made up of two head producers from Denver Fashion Week and local designers.
“This will be the first fashion show to be held at The Alley at Dairy Block, and we’re thrilled to partner with Denver Fashion Week to activate this unique downtown space in a new way,” said Nate Couture, marketing manager at Dairy Block. “Daily Block is proud to be the LoDo District’s premier shopping destination, featuring a wide variety of shops from local boutiques to well-known national brands, as well as great restaurants and the award-winning Maven Hotel.”
