MIDDLEBURY, Ind. – Grand Design Recreational Vehicles recently partnered with Startup Moxie Elkhart County Group, a program dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship among high school juniors and seniors in Elkhart and St. Joseph Counties .
Startup Moxie is a forward-thinking program that immerses students in the world of entrepreneurship and provides them with the tools and mindset needed to innovate and revolutionize their industries, according to a release. As the only program of its kind in the region, it provides students with a unique opportunity to experience real-world entrepreneurship.
Mary Minnix, Vice President of Human Resources at Grand Designs, reflected on this collaboration: “Empowering the next generation of innovators is fundamental to Grand Design’s mission. Working with startup Moxie allows us to share our passion for innovation, community, and growth with young people and inspire them. It can encourage you to dream big and embrace your potential.”
During the event, students had exclusive access to Grand Designs’ facilities, immersing themselves in the RV industry and exploring its myriad possibilities. They were encouraged to think creatively and discuss potential startup ventures.
“Grand Design has provided a great tour for Moxie classes both last year and this year. The entrepreneurial spirit we strive to foster at Startup Moxie is evident within Grand Design as well. Startup Moxie Goals One of our goals is to expose students to the entrepreneurial ecosystem that exists in Elkhart County, and Grand Design is a perfect example of that,” said Chris Weimer, executive director of Startup Moxie.
Through this partnership, Grand Designs RV and Startup Moxy are igniting a spark of innovation in Elkhart County and fostering a culture of bold ideas and innovative thinking.
The group will return on May 15th to further explore Grand Design and the industry.
