For the second year in a row, ROTOCON partnered with TUT to offer students the opportunity to submit brand design ideas for wine labels. Students were challenged to develop innovative, cutting-edge wine label designs that took into account the design process and strong ideas. The design had to consider finishes such as foils, varnishes, die-cuts and embossing, as well as the use of modern printing processes. We received a total of 49 entries.
The partnership will be spearheaded by Banie Stafford, ROTOCON marketing and advertising agency and proud TUT Arts alumnus, and will deliver a series of bespoke lectures to prepare students for the competition at TUT. led. “This is an opportunity to give back to my alma mater and encourage students who are not necessarily familiar with the wine industry to carefully research what they ultimately incorporate into their designs,” Stafford says. . “We are extremely pleased with the effort and ability of all entries.”
ROTOCON Group CEO Michael Aengenvoort was also a judge and was equally impressed with the students’ level of creativity. “The ROTOCON Wine Label Design Competition is a showcase of our wide range of label printing and finishing solutions,” he said. “It is a privilege to see these young talents incorporate concepts into their designs that integrate the various printing processes that bring wine labels to life.” You should be proud of your label design.”
